When Whitney covered the song, I like it; but, as a die-hard Best Little Whorehouse fan, I always believed the song should remain (at least a little) country.

HypoChristian of the Week:

Ragan's "HypoChristians of the Week" is Carrie Prejean. Carrie references traditional family values and biblical scripture when justifying her stance against gays and equal rights. After learning that the former Miss California enhanced her breasts, posed semi-nude, and starred in a sex tape, her biblical commitments appear malleable, at best. In typical hypochristian fashion, Ms. Prejean cries "discrimination" when people speak out against her advocation of discriminatory public policy. She is the millennium's Anita Bryant and, like Anita, Prejean will soon learn history is not on her side. I wish Ms. Prejean would go back to the Walmart in which she was born and stay off the TV.
